This position works with the IT Director, IT Systems Administrators, and business users to develop solutions that meet business needs. This role is responsible for gathering and documenting requirements on business issues as they relate to the ERP and other City enterprise systems. This position documents various processes for the team and manages a change management system. Additional responsibilities include ERP system administration, data analytics, business intelligence, dashboard creation, KPI management. The person occupying this role must be self-driven, have strong problem-solving skills, and have strong written and verbal communication skills.

MAJOR DUTIES

  • · Work with business process SME's to develop solutions to business problems with a focus on business process improvements.
  • · Follow change-management procedures
  • · Define reporting and process requirements.
  • · Troubleshoot user issues
  • · Develop relationships with business users, working with them to produce quality deliverables.
  • · Help design and document system and business processes.
  • · Experience with cloud computing
  • · Lite server administration skills
  • · Vendor management
  • · Ability to work independently and within a team
  • · Strong Microsoft Office skillset (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • · Skilled using SharePoint to manage projects and communication.
  • · Familiarity with Microsoft Visio or similar flow-charting applications.
  • · Strong understanding of the project management approach

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION

  • · Knowledge of multiple hardware and software systems (described below).
  • · Knowledge and successful experience in managing IT projects.
  • · Strong Analytical skills to review system reports
  • · Skill in the ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • · Skill in oral and written communication, including the ability to present information in a public forum.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • · Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a baccalaureate degree in Business or Information Technology.
  • · Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work required of the position, usually associated with at least three years' experience in a Business Analyst role and at least three to five years working in a related Information Technology field
  • · Two to five years' experience working with an ERP system and two years' experience in writing technical documentation (SOP's, SOW's, system documents)
  • · Ability to learn new technologies (CRM, ERP, Departmental Programs)
  • · Preferred experience with ERP migration, data analytics, business intelligence, and Microsoft SSRS for report development.
  • · Strong problem-solving skills
  • · IIBA CCBA and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt highly desirable
  • · Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Missouri for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
